Catskill Digital brings SEO to Seven21

Seven21 Media Center welcomes Catskill Digital to the building. Owner Zac Shaw originally worked at the media center about five years ago and was drawn back to the collaborative, creative space for its studio space and voiceover booth capabilities. Zac is a digital marketing guru and entrepreneur. After working for Evolving Media for several years, he decided to do freelance digital marketing for local businesses in Kingston out of his home. Shaw soon outgrew his space at home and considered expanding his business further. He knew he wanted to branch out into the social media field and felt that Seven21 was the ideal location to start his new business.   In 2009, Zac worked in the Seven21 Media Center’s green screen studio with Ellenbogen Creative Media to create a video entry for the Ford Fiesta Movement contest, which he and his production team won. By winning the contest, Ford provided Zac with a new Fiesta and unlimited gas to drive around in for six months with the promise to make new videos designed for social media. Not only was this Zac’s first major social media marketing campaign, but this was also one of the largest social media marketing campaigns at the time. Zac credits the production value of Ellenbgoen for the success of this capain and notes his positive experience with Seven21 and Ellenbogen influenced his commitment to the center several years later.   The Ellenbogen Group is excited to have a digital marketing company in the building. “We have already started working with Zac on our social media tactics and online presence,” Jeremy Ellenbogen, President and CEO explained. “Zac is a great asset not only to the companies within our building, but other local companies as well. We can all benefit from his expertise in digital marketing.” Zac is excited to grow his business at the media center. “I want to continue working with the companies I’ve established relationships with, but help other companies as well,” he explains. Along with integrated digital marketing, Zac Shaw can also help businesses with web design, graphic design, troubleshooting websites, and developing effective SEO to optimize websites on search engines. Digital marketing can help build and manage a small business. It can also add value to video marketing and other integrated marketing strategies that primarily focus on content and community engagement. Zac encourages all small businesses to use digital marketing because it helps companies “remain visible while remaining authentic.” Visit caskilldigital.com for more information!

WBPM (Pamal Broadcasting) Rocks the Seven21 Media Center

The Seven21 Media Center located on Broadway in Kingston, has recently welcomed to the building Pamal Broadcasting 92.9 WBPM to have more space for sales managing, client meetings, and future live broadcasting. Founded in 1986, the family-owned radio station  owns  numerous different radio stations in the Hudson Valley area. Prior to the move, WBPM was located on John Street in Kingston for 38 years. Although Don Verity, general manager of Pamal, knew the move was going to be an adjustment he believed that the relocation to the Seven21 Media Center would ultimately be beneficial in moving forward. Pamal Broadcasting has several other stations in the Hudson Valley including K104, 100.7 WHUD, 107.1 The Peak, and Real Country 1260AM. Pamal also as stations located in Albany, Glens Falls, Vermont, and Springfield. WBPM, which stands for “World’s Best Popular Music,” plays “classic hits” from 1965-1989. Radio still has a major presence in the lives in many people. A popular show on the station is Bob Miller in the Morning. From 6am-10am, listeners can tune in and  listen to Bob Miller and Brian Jones start the day. Throughout the rest of the day 92.9 WBPM provides a great mix of classic hits for work and the car. The morning show is a great way for commuters on their drive to work to get local news, events, and weather. 92.9 WBPM also  is involved with many community events including the annual July 4th Celebration on the Rondout Waterfront. Verity was familiar with Seven21 previous to the Ellenbogen’s  acquiring it, and now he “loves the transformation and renovation” that has been done to the building. “It is so enjoyable to be in a building like this not only for the great people, but for the atmosphere and the facilities we have access to.” Don’s reason for his relocation, was that Pamal Broadcasting “needed more space and a place that was more client friendly.” Verity is using the new space for sales managing, meetings with clients, radio commercials, and live broadcasts. In the future, Pamal hopes to use the space here at Seven21 to host live music events. After we interviewed Verity, it was clear that he had happily found his new home at the Seven21 Media Center.  President and CEO of Ellenbogen Creative Media, Jeremy Ellenbogen says,  “We plan to accommodate Don and his crew with all the necessary resources we have, and we look forward to working with him in the near future."

Ny Daily News on KINGSTON, NY and Seven21: "High-tech on the Hudson"

We're excited about this article in the NY Daily News that profiles Kingston as one of the nation's unique "digital corridors". It gives a great sense of our community spirit and collaborative approach toward standing out as a creative and economic asset to the region. In particular, the article explores why so many NYC residents have relocated to our humble town of 22,000, and why the NYC money is starting to follow. We here at Seven21 are honored to be a part of the "digital dynamos" that are putting Kingston on the map. Please share this story with your friends and colleagues to spread the local love!

It's not the kind of ultra-high-end, cutting-edge web technology the firm does on a day-to-day basis, but it does demonstrate their commitment to great aesthetics, fantastic functionality, great beer and great friends.
